A political subdivision/local government is defined as any city, county, city and county, district, or other local governmental body or corporation including the California State University (CSU) and University of California (UC) systems, K-12 schools and community colleges empowered to expend public funds.

Contract Terms and Conditions

The Enterprise Technology IBM Silo contract for California is a Mandatory Statewide Contract.  This contract is available for the procurement of IBM Enterprise Technology equipment and services to the State of California.

The scope of this contract does not include the following items:

  1. Cloud Services including acquisitions structured as managed on-site services
  2. Storage as a Service, an architecture model by which a provider allows a customer to rent or lease storage space on the provider’s hardware infrastructure on a subscription basis.
  3. Telecommunications hardware and services
  4. PC Goods
  5. Wireless phone and internet service
  6. Managed Print Services
  7. Printers, Tablets, Cellular Phone Equipment
  8. Off-campus networking
  9. Public Works

Software

Maintenance & Services

Maintenance and support services are available from IBM, DSS or our DVBE partners for all products eligible to be sold under the Enterprise Technology IBM Silo contract. Prices are determined based on the products and options selected.

Support Services may include but are not limited to: warranty services, maintenance, installation, de-installation, factory integration (software or equipment components), asset management, recycling/disposal, training and certification, pre-implementation design, disaster recovery planning and support, service desk/help desk, and any other directly related technical support service required for the effective operation of a product offered or supplied.
